Kitty Cat Tales

Tanya, the 13 year old cat, went on her fourth and longest (4 hour) drive on Saturday.  Each time we go she seems less scared.  This time she figured out where she was going to sit and was a  perfect little passenger.  She even walked into the little carrier a couple times.   I think everything will be fine.

A change in car plans

We were going to take Bob’s 2001 Sable on the trip and even took it to the garage to get tires rotated, oil change, etc.  While we were driving home in my car, a 2005 Corolla, we got talking about how nice it would be to take Fay’s car.  It has hardley any miles, gets great gas mileage and Fay would much rather drive that then the Sable.  We were already planning on shipping some things so after Bob lost a few nights sleep figuring how to pack the car, we decided we could make everything fit.  At 35 plus miles to the gallon it should be really easy on the gas budget, plus gas prices have fallen so much.  I filled up for $2.09!

Packing up

There sure is a lot to remember to do when you will be gone for a month.  Some things you can buy if you forget them but other things I definitely have to remember to take with, like all the passwords to get into my web accounts.   Bob is off on Wed. and about all I have left to do is the clothes, which is easy.

Our cat Tanya is at her best when supervising Fay and Bob from Raggedy Ann’s lap. This is in the corner of Fay’s office and her second favorite spot to sit. The first is on my desk.

However not everything makes kitty a happy camper. We have taken her for three practice drives in the car and she is doing pretty well. Three days in the car might be a different story. Still more to get used to like the collar, leash and carrying box. Should be interesting. I suppose the doll will have to come with us also.
