Funny 'bout that...
Otter's been interested in yurts since ... like, forever (suspicion that this stems from a past life on the steppes of modern Mongolia). And we just saw one in the "back yard" of The Pie Shop up in Grand Marais.

You might also find "The Story of the Weeping Camel" an interesting viewing. Available at Blockbuster and others, I'm sure.

Fay and Bob,
Wonderful adventures!

Glad you found the yurt so appealing. I'm in love with yurts, too, and have just published a book called "YURTS: Living in the Round", a comprehensive book about yurts that is also coffee table style, with lots of photos and stories. Falling Waters Resort is one of my stories. Haven't been there myself but it sounds like a truly magical place...

You might enjoy the book (find it on Amazon.com) and also my yurt website, www.yurtinfo.org.

Keep up the great blog,

Hi you two! I am thoroughly enjoying my introduction to the "blog" and all your activities. I can't wait each day for new postings. I do hope that Bob's finger and your sore neck continue to improve and glad that you found someone to do the deep massage. We look forward to having lunch with you on Friday and will call you Thursday evening to work out the details. Just let us know if you have any preferences. I am so happy that you guys are finding many interesting things to do...things we haven't done during the 19 years we have lived here. Shame on us! Faye, I was so hoping that you would be able to share Helen's story with the community. Let me know if it still may happen. I will talk to you later. I must get to bed. Goodnight. Dot

I'm really sorry to hear about Bob's finger and your neck! Stick with the deep massage, and if not, go to the chirop. I went to PT when I had such a back problem and the deep massage was like a wonder...I called the PT "Dr. God". She was incredible and I was able to walk 1 week later.

Having a blast reading your blog.

Love you both and miss you,
Chrisser

Hi, Fay & Bob,
I just wanted you both to know that I'm reading and enjoying your daily entries. Bob, I hope your broken finger heals fast!

It's "Halloween" here in cold, old MN (low of 27 last night, high of 38 today) and the little "trick or treaters" will freeze tonight!

Lollie just finished last night the second of two winter coats she made to fit her new slimmer body. My weight loss continues, too. I'm down 135 pounds and also having to find a new, smaller wardrobe.

THanksgiving is coming and today I ordered an 18 lb. Fresh Turkey from Von Hanson's Meat Market in Apple Valley. We are have some of Lollie's family over for Thanksgiving day. And, of course, there's the "Annual Randen Christmas Gathering" here at our condo again on Sunday, Dec. 17th at Noon. But I don't think you two will be back in MN for that unless I'm wrong?

Lollie and I are delighted to read about all of your new adventures out there. We rejoice with you!

Affectionately,
Larry
